Print-on-demand is environmentally friendly

ink2 is concerned with the sustainability of our production. Print-on-demand is by its very nature responsible production; we make what we sell, nothing more. A large portion of traditionally manufactured greeting cards remain unsold, and end up in landfill. With digital printing, waste is minimal, and we use none of the hazardous chemicals and far less of the plate waste associated with conventional offset printing methods. We also produce far fewer harmful VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds).

In addition, our facilities are Forestry Stewardship Council certified. The FSC sets forth principles, criteria, and standards that span economic, social and environmental concerns. Their standards represent the world’s strongest system for guiding forest management toward sustainable resource management.
